1、Two latest technology of KD-Nuance
一、MaxView system(Option)
KD-Nuance is equipped with Maxview compression system in addition to the regular breast compression mode. The working principle of the system is pulling the breast tissue into the projection area with motorized drive by using up and down membrane belt device of special design. The belt distance of the membrane reaches 5cm and it extends the range of breast examination to 3 to 4cm. The belt force of the membrane can be adjusted which ensures the comfort and safety of the patients. It will significantly help to find the breast cancer by using this compression system.
二、Side -Access ergonomic position system
It makes great improvement for KD-Nuance based on the regular structure of the mammo unit. +/-30° swing design of the C-arm will help to pull the C-arm to other side when making patient positioning. It pulls back the C-arm after finishing breast positioning of the patient. Therefore, More space is released for giving assurance to the comfort between doctors and patients. It has more advantages especially when conducting biopsy positioning.
2、Many ergonomic design and practical function
一、Double angle double focus high-speed rotating anode X-ray tube
The target material and filter material of the X-ray tube will affect the contrast and radiation dose of the image. KD-Nuance uses a high-speed rotating anode tube with double angles and double focus. The target material of anode is tungsten (W), which reduces the radiation dose by more than 50%. The filter material is beryllium (Be). The rotational speed of the tube reaches up to 9700rpm, which has outstanding loading capacity and heating capacity. It has circuit with automatic control protection and efficient cooling system with cold oil, which optimizes the loading cycle as well as protects the X-ray tube. Double-angle design with target Angle of 10° and 16° corresponds with two focus of the tube respectively , which prevents X-ray scattering and improves the amount of effective X-ray as well as reduces heating capacity and extends the lifespan of the tube.
二、High degree of integration provides KD-Nuance with flexible mobility
The generator of KD-Nuance is with high-frequency and steady high voltage. The frequency of the generator is 80kHz and ripple coefficient of output voltage is close to zero, which improves image contrast and decreases exposure time. In addition, it reduces radiation dose as well as extends the lifespan of X-ray tube. At the same time, the generator adopts a unique compact design with integration. It has small size and it can directly installed on the mammo unit, which helps to save more space. Meanwhile, KD-Nuance is with highly flexible mobility, which is the only one of units for carrying out large-scale physical examination in factories, schools and communities.
三、Advanced all round motorized C-arm isocenter rotation system in mammography
The C-arm of KD-Nuance centered on the breast of the patient during rotation and movement (It is similar to the application of C-arm cardiac surgery), which improves the accuracy of patient positioning and avoids repeated positioning of the patient due to position off-center. The precise positioning will decrease the time of breast examination for the patient.
四、The ergonomic design of angle memory function enables to achieve the function of automatic body positioning
Select a certain location for making exposure, after that making position for the patient. After finishing exposure, press down the button on the control panel, C-arm will automatically move to the corresponding position to get the image in the remaining position. The whole process is realized and driven by the microprocessor control motor. It shortens the positioning time and increases the flow of patients, which has more advantages in the process of general examination.
3、Excellent digital image in all round area
KD-Nuance adopts the amorphous silicon flat panel detector for digital image acquisition. The size of the detector is 24×30cm, and the matrix is 2814x3580. The whole-region digital mammography is realized in a real sense. You can see more detailed images with a pixel size of 83 microns. Compared with flat panel detector of 70 micron on the market, the detector of KD-Nuance takes into account all aspects of the factors which determines the image quality. So that it avoids the problems of weaker signal and lower SNR as well as poor image quality which is caused by small pixel size. The 83μm detector has higher DQE and MTF which help to provide finer and better images.
